Our mission is to deliver authentic interpreting experiences designed to bridge communication between deaf and hearing individuals.

Georgia Interpreting Services Network (GISN), a division of Georgia Association of Training, Employment and Supports (GATES), is a private non-profit providing sign language interpreting services throughout the state of Georgia. GISN has provided qualified, certified, and professional interpreting services throughout the state of Georgia since 1987. We fulfill our mission of providing exceptional interpreting services to our clients by working exclusively with qualified and nationally certified interpreters.

We believe a collaborative approach ensures the best fit in delivering clear, complete and effective communication between all parties. As the end-user experience is very important to us, we often work with Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing individuals to learn their individual preferences and preferred interpreters to ensure we support and satisfy their respective communication needs. Our interpreters are generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week (including holidays) to meet our customers’ needs.

We are not like other interpreting agencies

Unlike many other agencies in Georgia, we strongly believe placing non-certified interpreters at assignments is not in the best interest for the very people we work with, especially members of the Deaf community.

That’s why we only work with nationally certified sign language interpreters.
